Transfers - group & individual
– Note: If you write your travel info in your booking form, our logistics team will confirm the details of your transfer one week before your arrival date.
Sunday arrival
We group guests according to flight arrival times, so the earliest group transfer will leave around 11am and the last group transfer will leave no later than 14:00. We recommend a morning flight that lands not later than 13:30 so that you can clear customs in time to catch the last group transfer. The transfer journey time from Malaga to the retreat is approximately 1hr 40 mins.
We aim to get you on your way to the retreat with the shortest wait possible. After you have cleared customs and collected your luggage, look for your driver at the meeting point (see photo in next section). Our logistics manager will confirm the details of your transfer by email one week before your arrival date.

HELP?
Delayed?
If you are delayed, we will wait for you up to one hour in the coffee bar. If you are delayed more than one hour, we will try to fit you in the next group transfer, if there is space; or a private out-of-hours transfer can be arranged (see cost below).
No convenient flight times?
If you can not find a flight that lands by 13:30, please consider these options:
1 – Arrive a day earlier and stay in a hotel in the historic centre of Malaga, then return to the airport the following morning for a group transfer
2 – Book a Private Transfer (see below)
3 – Rent a car at the airport (see Driving Directions below)
Meeting Point (Malaga)
Malaga Airport – meeting point
Please wait for your driver outside the arrivals hall between the RELAY boutique and the SANTAMARIA café
Transfers are operated by a small team of friendly, self-employed locals who know the area and provide a personal service in English/Spanish. This service is offered because there is no taxi company in our local town and our drivers know exactly where to go, saving you time and money.

Directions from Malaga airport
On leaving the airport follow signs to MALAGA and then ALMERIA & MOTRIL – AUTOVIA A7. After about 10kms the motorway divides and it is important that you continue in the left hand lane – follow signs for ALMERIA & MOTRIL (do not filter right to the A-45 for Cordoba Sevilla). You are on the Autovia del Meditaraneo going eastwards along the coast and you will drive through numerous long tunnels for approximately 100kms. Keep to the speed limit, there are hidden speed traps.
At junction KM 328 the motorway divides again – keep in the right hand lane, exit the A-7 and follow the signs for A-44 VELEZ DE BENAUDALLA, GRANADA & JAEN (avoid Motril and Almeria). Continue another 10kms until you see signs for junction KM 175 ORGIVA and LAS ALPUJARRAS. The slip road brings you down the hill to the large dam and roundabout where you turn right towards ORGIVA. Keep going for about 20 mins until you go through a tunnel, then turn immediately left to a bridge over the River Guadalfeo towards ORGIVA. Follow the main road through the town and continue to follow directions for GRANADA. As you leave ORGIVA you will pass a small BP filling station before a stone bridge, then carry straight on and after 0.5km there is a larger BP filling station on the right.
Photo landmarks from Orgiva to Kaliyoga
1) Continue for about 1km and you will see ‘Camping Puerta de la Alpujarra’ campsite on your left. Carry on about 400m – there is a short section of the straight road followed by a sharp right-hand bend (see photo 1 & 2)… Slow down at the Chevron. 3) INDICATE LEFT and TURN LEFT immediately by the long green hedge and go past the recycling & bus shelter – now follow the unmade road that runs parallel to the main road for a few meters, then it heads south towards the mountains. Follow the track slowly as it’s quite bumpy. You will pass a white farm building on the right and then at the bottom of the hill keep LEFT at the building called “Fabricolat de Queso de las Alpujarras” (see photo) then continue straight past a large circular water container to your right… Continue straight on for about 600 meters. Keep going straight… Don’t follow any turnings to the right… you’re nearly there… the Kaliyoga sign is on the right just after the brow of a short steep hill (see photo).
