Shiatsu energy rebalance
Shiatsu derives from the Japanese words shi (finger) and atsu (pressure) and considers body, mind, and soul in their totality. The practice tries to understand the causes of energy unbalance producing physical distress, rather than considering the symptom of the problem alone.
The pressure of thumbs and palms acts on localised areas of the body along the paths of energy meridians. In this way organs and inner systems are stimulated and harmonized, activating the natural process of self-recovery.
Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage is a unique form of bodywork that incorporates Hatha Yoga, acupressure, and reflexology. It is a deep, full-body treatment, which includes both stretching of the joints and muscles and applied pressure to the sen lines. Thai massage helps to relieve deep muscle tension and improved joint mobility as well as nerve, muscle and ligament balancing.
Combining two traditional disciplines, Guiseppe can also use a blend of both Thai Yoga massage and Shiatsu to bring your body back into balance.
Reflexology, 30 minute add-on
Reflexology follows the principle that there are zone reflexes on both feet, which correspond to all of the major body parts and organs. This treatment consists of applying pressure to the feet, to affect specific parts of the body in order to cleanse and detoxify the organs, glands, and muscles. This treatment is deeply relaxing and can result in a very deep snooze!
Reflexology works very well in combination with other treatments, which is why we recommend adding on 30 minutes of reflexology to either of Sarit or Guiseppe’s treatments.
Ayurvedic Abyangam massage
Abyangam means ‘whole body exercise’ and Ayurvedic means natural, healthy balance. This massage helps to relieve aches and pains and is used in India as a preventive medicine. The treatment increases circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system. It also stimulates marma points, junctures in the body of two or more types of tissue, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, bones or joints. Marma points are much more than a casual connection of tissue and fluids: they are intersections of the vital life force and prana (breath). It is likely that the ancient science of Marma is the source of many other therapies including acupuncture, acupressure and reflexology.
Essential oils used in Ayurvedic massages are very nourishing and detoxifying. Sesame base oil (cold-pressed, chemical free, organic) contains antioxidant properties, and is helpful in protecting the skin from free radical damage. It is considered highly nourishing for the whole body.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy promotes healing through a gentle and subtle technique that works with the body’s core natural rhythms. From the skeletal system and bones of the cranium to the ebbing and flowing of our endocrine system, Craniosacral therapy helps to resolve issues on several levels:
Physically, it affects the central nervous system, brain, and spinal column, as well as the cerebral spinal fluid that nourishes and protects it. Emotionally, it influences deep and primary patterns to help you get in touch with your innate resources and space. Spiritually, it enlightens the heart and soul to transform and heal on profound levels.

Hot Stones Healing Massage
This unique treatment combines a hot oil massage with hot volcanic stones. Hot stone massage is a natural therapy in which warmed stones are placed on key points of your body – known as energy centres – which allows for deep tissue manipulation. Hot stone massages are beneficial on both physical and psychological levels.
This technique is a good way to manage stress. It offers some relaxing time for your mind, does wonders for releasing muscular tension, releases toxins from your body, provides relief from pain and muscle spasm, reduces chronic tension, increases flexibility in joints, aiding mobility and movement. The warmth of the stones improves circulation and lymphatic drainage, and it also calms the nervous system.
Poor circulation can lead to fatigue, which leads to muscle tension and painful buildup of fluid and lactic acid. A hot stone massage helps you to combat some of the symptoms of anxiety, depression, insomnia and it can also give you an emotional boost, leaving you with a happier and more positive outlook in life.
Tibetan Bowl Healing Sound massage
Tibetan Bowl Healing Sound massage is a treatment using sound vibration to induce a relaxing effect deep in the body. The technique originates from the ancient Eastern and Shamanic tradition in which the cosmos is known to have originated from the primal sound Om, the first universal vibration (big bang) from whence we come and to which we return. Each human tissue has its own energetic frequency – each organ, bone and fluid has a unique, identifiable pulse. The bowls are placed on the body along the chakra points and ‘played’ to produce harmonious frequency in the body.
With the sound massage, the body abandons muscle tension, as vibration energy in the contracted soft tissues releases blocks in the subtle energy body. As the body releases, the mind relaxes and the brain enters a state of deep tranquility, producing alpha and theta waves, an altered consciousness. Above all, this is a precious time that you grant to yourself.
