MALAGA AIRPORT
SUNDAY ARRIVALS
Check-in from 14:00
We arrange pick-ups at the airport between 12:30 and 14:30 to Kaliyoga.
Details of your driver and meeting point will be sent to you by email a few days before you travel. If it’s more convenient to travel on Saturday, we suggest you spend a night in Malaga and we’ll pick you up from the airport on Sunday – there’s a rapid train every 20 mins from Malaga Alameda station to the airport.
LUGGAGE
We advise you to pack light. If you travel with one or more 20kg suitcases, space is limited in the transfer car, so kindly tell us about your luggage in the Airport Transfer Reservation Form.
SATURDAY DEPARTURES
Please check-out of your room by 9am.
Breakfast is served at 9am.
Early leavers will find their breakfast-in-a-bag in the fridge :-)
Transfer pick-ups between 6am to 10am .
Journey time to the airport 90 mins.

Unsociable Hours – In the unlikely event that you need a car earlier than 06:00, or later than 22:00, the fare will be 160 euros.

If you are unavoidably delayed and you miss your pick-up time, phone and text your driver straight away.

If you arrive the night before your retreat date, we suggest you book a hotel close to the airport, then we will collect you on the check-in day of your retreat.

Malaga airport has a rapid train service every 20 minutes to and from Malaga Central Alameda station.
Buy your train ticket from a vending machine on the platform (for English, just tap on the flag) Vending machines will accept only 5€, 10€, 20€ bills and coins.
About train tickets
The train line to Malaga city centre from Malaga airport will stop at the following stations:
- Guadalhorce in 2 minutes
- Victoria Kent in 5 minutes
- Estación María Zambrano (Malaga train station) in 8 minutes
- Málaga Centro Alameda in 12 minutes

Directions from Malaga airport
On leaving the airport follow signs to MALAGA and then ALMERIA & MOTRIL – AUTOVIA
A7. After about 10kms the motorway divides and it is important that you continue in the left hand lane – follow signs for ALMERIA & MOTRIL (do not filter right to the A-45 for Cordoba Sevilla). You are on the Autovia del Meditaraneo going eastwards along the coast and you will drive through numerous long tunnels for approximately 100kms. Keep to the speed limit, there are hidden speed traps.
At junction KM 328 the motorway divides again – keep in the right hand lane, exit the A-7 and follow the signs for A-44 VELEZ DE BENAUDALLA, GRANADA & JAEN (avoid Motril and Almeria).
Continue another 10kms until you see signs for junction KM 175 ORGIVA and LAS ALPUJARRAS. The slip road brings you down the hill to the large dam and roundabout where you turn right towards ORGIVA.
Keep going for about 20 mins until you go through a tunnel, then turn immediately left to a bridge over the River Guadalfeo towards ORGIVA.
Follow the main road through the town and continue to follow directions for GRANADA.
As you leave ORGIVA you will pass a CEPSA fuel station before a bridge, then carry straight on and after 0.5km continue past a BP fuel station on the right.
Landmarks
1) Continue for about 1km and you will see ‘Camping Puerta de la Alpujarra’ campsite on your left. Carry on about 400m – there is a short section of the straight road followed by a sharp right-hand bend – Slow down at the chevron.
2) INDICATE LEFT and TURN LEFT immediately by the long green hedge and go past the recycling & bus shelter – now follow the unmade road that runs parallel to the main road for a few meters, then it heads south towards the mountains.
3) Follow the track slowly as it’s quite bumpy. You will pass a white farm building on the right and then at the bottom of the hill keep LEFT at the building called “Fabricolat de Queso de las Alpujarras” then continue straight past a large circular water container to your right… Continue straight on for about 600 meters. Keep going straight… Don’t follow any turnings to the right… you’re nearly there… the Kaliyoga sign is on the right just after the brow of a short steep hill.

You will receive a confirmation email from us 4-5 days before your arrival with details about your pick up time and where to meet your driver.
