The Nest is located near the yoga studio and a 1 min. walk from the main house - this is secluded than from other rooms, so in case your dog happens to bark at night, it will not disturb sleeping guests.

Kaliyoga is surrounded by farmland where farm dogs roam freely and upon occasion can be aggressive towards other animals. For your peace of mind, your dog should be kept in your room during meals and yoga classes and at any time when it will be left unattended by you.

We request dog owners to walk their dogs in the surrounding campo and let them do their business there, not on Kaliyoga's land and not in cultivated areas.

Please note that Kaliyoga is not responsible for the safety and welfare of your animal. Even though your well behaved pet is unlikely to chew furniture/ poo in the room, nevertheless as a precaution we ask pet owners staying at Kaliyoga to sign a damage waiver and leave a 150€ cash deposit at reception. All being well, it will be returned to you when you check out.

Yoga

What kind of yoga in the mornings and evenings?

The morning yoga practice follows the principles of 'dynamic yoga' - this refers to the inner dynamics of action by the muscles and joints, counter-balanced by relaxing everything else that is not required to sustain each posture. This method is designed to nourish the body and calm the nervous system. Rather than offering enervating vinyasa flow cycles and jumping from one posture to another, we take our time in each posture and between each posture to establish a joyful steadiness in the body, free from tension, giving each guest the opportunity to experience a sense of ‘presence’ from moment to moment via the unification of the body, the mind and the breath.

In the evening yoga sessions, the  ‘yin’ method is applied to release tension in the digestive tract, muscles, face, joints and fascia, letting nutrients flow into stagnant areas. It’s as deeply relaxing for the mind as well as the body. In a busy world where emotions, muscles and joint tend to be tight, there may be little awareness of how deeply fatigued you are until given permission to let go. The evening classes provide deep rejuvenation.

I’m not very flexible. Will the yoga be too hard for me?

Yoga practice has nothing to do with your physical capacity and nobody will judge you for lack of flexibility. The traditional way in which we present yoga posture practice makes it suitable for all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced, on the basis that 'advanced yoga' refers to a practitioner's ability to experience deep meditation whilst holding the postures.

Will the yoga class be really intense?

Our teachers teach yoga with an internal focus (somatic) and no-one is trying to show off or out-do another person.

Are the yoga classes taught in English?

Yoga instruction is given in clear, precise English but our teacher is also fluent in Spanish, French, and Hungarian.

How many yoga classes per day?

On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday there are two classes. On Wednesday and Sunday there is one class.

Is there fresh air in the yoga studio?

Yes, the studio has large sliding doors. And there is climate control for when the doors are closed.

Are there bugs or flies in the yoga studio?

No. In summer we often open the glass doors for fresh mountain air during practice but the studio is bug-proof with fly netting on all the windows.
