There is a variety of excursions for you, either in the mountains or the nearby towns, with something for everyone e.g. whether you want some Spanish city culture in Granada, or some horseback riding in the mountains.
Sarah runs Caballo Blanco (white horse ranch) and she will pick you up from Kaliyoga and bring you back after the ride. Her sure-footed Andalucian horses are equipped with western saddles and are suitable for beginners as well as experienced riders.

Healing Salt Baths
This is an excursion to the local Spa town of Lanjarón where you can relax in hot salt-water pools, each one being at a different temperature. Very soothing and luxurious. The cool plunge pool opens pores and makes you feel blissful.
Tibetan Buddhist Centre
Drive 25 minutes up the mountain to visit this tranquil Tibetan Buddhist meditation centre. Great views, prayer wheel and stupa.
There are some local nature walks that you can do on your own - we'll give you a hand-written map for guidance. There's a 45 minute circular walk and the 'silent valley' walk can last anything from 45 mins to several hours, depending on how far you go before you turn back.
Guides are available to take you up to higher ground in a 4x4 - Wednesday afternoon is the best day for this, as there is no evening yoga class and the evening meal is either a workshop (see above) or dine out in Orgiva or Lanjaron.
The nearest beach is at Salobreña with a castle overlooking the bay - about 35 min by car. Our favourite beach is about 15 min further on where there are 2 tavernas that serve seafood.
